Steve Millar

Drums, percussion.

Steve has been playing in bands with Peter (lead singer) since 1987, playing trombone in the horn section of "Voices" whilst studying jazz at Adelaide Uni. He played trombone in the original Chesterfield Brass section, but a line up change a few years ago gave him the chance to pursue his other great musical interest - the drums. Steve's other hobbies include music and music - he conducts a gospel-style church choir, he occasionally conducts community bands and choirs, and plays occasional jazz gigs on trombone and drums (but not at the same time!).

Like some other members of Chesterfield, Stephen has been a music teacher for a number of years, and is the Head of Music at Saint Ignatius' College, having previously taught classroom music and directed bands at Pembroke and Brighton.
